The Balanga City Public Market is expected to recover its earnings by collecting more P40 million before yearend.
Joselito Evangelista, city treasurer, said the annual target of P40.3 million could be exceeded this time. During the pre-pandemic period the city market hauls P42 million. “But this time. we can collect more than that. Puwede pang tumaas yang target within this year,” said Evangelista. He added that business climate in Balanga is vastly improving.
“Ngayon pa lang nakakabawi ang mga negosyo sa Balanga after the pandemic. Balanga City Mayor Francis Anthony Garcia had announced last year that the City income may reach P1 billion in a matter of time. Evangelista said it might be realized now or to some extent, “it may be more.” Balanga has become Bataan’s commercial and educational center with the influx of malls like the SM City of Bataan, Vista Mall and Walter Mart.
